If you've seen last weeks Fitness Friday post you'll know that I am taking part in the Tone It Up Bikini Series and these posts are a way of keeping me accountable and on track.
We are on day 5 of week one today and so far the week has been going well. I worked out the first 3 days and yesterday to a rest day as I was quite sore. I think my body just needs to get used to exercing again having not done such intense workouts since before pregnancy. So here is my weekly update.
The Mealplan
Monday and Tuesday I stuck with the meals as best I could. I subbed things I wasn't as keen on for things I did like and enjoy eating. Wednesday I definitely didn't eat enough and woke up on Thursday feeling really quite poorly and it took a few hours and some light food to feel semi normal again and ate what I could throughout the day.
The Workouts
I stuck with all the recommend Tone It Up workouts (except Thursdays) from the website along with the Alexa Jean Fitness Sore To The Core 4 week program I bought for £5. Since I haven't really worked out properly for around 2 years I have struggled but took it at my own pace. I am sore but in a good way and I'm feeling positive about keeping it up over the coming weeks. Yesterdays rest day was well needed.
Overall feelings
I'm quite happy with how I've done so far since I'm just getting back into it. I'm learning what my body is capable of again and also learning that I need to ensure I eat enough and drink enough water to keep myself fuelled. Especially for HIIT workouts. The in laws are down this weekend so hoping I can keep it up whilst they are here and not be tempted by Chinese food and making healthy choices if we go out to eat. I am looking forward to the next week and aim to keep up my nutrition and hopefully the weather improves so I can get in some lovely long walks. Instagram Check-In's
