I have been following the Tone it Up girls for years now, and I bought their nutrition plan back in 2012. It is something I have loosely followed on and off since then and have never fully committed myself to it. I have followed their workouts before and they are so easy to do in your living room with minimal equipment. Every year they have an 8 week Bikini Series challenge and I have started it several times but never finished. This year I am making the commitment to follow it as closely as I can both the nutrition plan and the workouts. So far this year I have dropped a dress size just by making small changes and I hope to improve my overall tone and fitness levels throughout this challenge.
For me this isn't about losing weight, it is about getting stronger and feeling better about myself. I want to be a role model for Ailsa and show her to love her body by taking care of it. I want to be able to be active with her, and growing up with Arthritis has left me with weak joints so by improving the strength in my muscles I can help keep my joints strong to enable me to run around after her. I am going to be writing an update every Friday to keep me accountable and keep me motivated for my workouts. I will share all the highs and the lows of this 8 week challenge and maybe even share my before and after photos at the end.
