New Year House Goals

I love the excitement and fresh challenges a new year brings. I always like to start a fresh and have goals to work towards. Last year was to organise all the things we would need for Ailsa arriving in March. Once she was here everything we hoped to do around the house took a back seat. Well not any more.

James and I are planning to get all the little jobs done now. With a goal of having as much as we can done by Ailsa's birthday in mid March. To help us along we have made a list of everything we want to get done and then prioritised those things. There are so many little bits and pieces that we have just neglected. Such as getting photos framed or in albums, organising the utensils drawer in the kitchen and the big one for me, sorting out all my make up and beauty products. We also plan on doing some big things such as getting rid of bookshelves and drawers we don't need and replacing them with more worthwhile bits of furniture and utilising our storage more.

I'm very excited for the changes we are going to be making around the house and finally feeling settled in our home. It's true that small changes can make a huge difference and I am really hoping that by the time we have the family descend on us for Ailsa's birthday weekend the house will be as close to where we want it as possible.

Do you have any big plans for the upcoming year? Let me know in the comments.
