Goodbye 2015 Hello 2016

With 2016 just around the corner I have been reminiscing about the past year and thinking ahead to the year to come, what I want to get out of it and what I can improve on from this year.

2015 was obviously a big one for me as I became a Mummy to Ailsa. She is everything I ever dreamed she would be and more. Its been a whirlwind these last 9 months, watching her grow and develop and  I am looking forward to even more of that next year. I hope we have lots of lovely adventures as a family and I am looking forward to documenting them all.

With a new year comes new years resolutions and I am never one for sticking to them much. James and I are making a concious decision to improve our lifestyle so hopefully with us both focusing on the same thing we can stick to it together. Looking after a young baby meant that we completely forgot about taking extra good care of ourselves and so we are going to be making the effort to improve our diet and get in some daily exercise. We will be getting down to our allotment and growing our own fruit and veg. Improving our diet and hopefully saving on our shopping bill.

2016 is the year that we will be starting to properly save for our house deposit. We have had so much happen in the last few years that have meant that most of our savings were spent between getting married, moving into our new house and having a baby it has left little chance of us getting a decent savings pot behind us. We will be sticking to strict budgets to save as much as we can as quickly as we can and hopefully get our own home in the next couple of years.

In July I started this little blog and it will be a big focus for me in 2016. I want to grow my little part of the web and produce quality content more regularly. Hopefully the hard work will pay off in growing my blog.

I would like to wish you all a wonderful new year and a happy and healthy 2016.
