The Lynch Family Schedule

As a family we tend to follow the same daily routine with different bits and bobs thrown in here and there. I love reading these kind of pots so though I would pop down what we do each day for you to take a look at and maybe get some inspiration for your own routine.

Daily Routine

Morning

Hubby gets up around 5am for work. Ailsa and I stay asleep till 7:30/8am. We are such lazy bums. Ailsa will then have a milk feed and bum change and I will shower and get ready for the day. We then head downstairs for about 9am for breakfast, Unless we need to head out which means Ailsa gets dressed as soon as I am ready and we are out the door. If we are home I let Ailsa laze about in her Pj's whilst we have breakfast of toast or cereal for me. As we are doing baby led weaning Ailsa might have some toast or a boiled egg. Ailsa then has a play for a bit till her nap which at the moment is around 10:30/11am. She sleeps for 1 1/2 to 2 hours most days. Some days she can be a little bit testing and fight going to sleep. I then run around like a mad woman whilst she sleeps and tidy, clean, fold laundry and maybe sit down with a cup of tea and blog.

Afternoon

Ailsa normally wakes from her nap around 12:30/1pm. If she isn't dressed already I will get her dressed. We will have a spot of lunch and if we have no plans we head out for a wander around the park or in town as we live quite central. We will then head home and Ailsa will either have a play with her toys or go up for her afternoon nap. If she does nap it is normally only a quick 45mins-1 hour. I try and get some blogging bits done if I haven't managed to so far during nap number 1. when she wakes from her nap we will head into the kitchen and get dinner started. Ailsa is sat in her high chair with a toy or a couple of plastic spoons which keep her occupied whilst dinner is cooking. I might give her a wafer/rice cake to keep her ticking over.

Evening
James gets home around 5:30 and we will try and be eating dinner by 6pm. He then will go for  shower and then run Ailsa a bath whilst I tidy or keep Ailsa occupied. She will then be in her bath by 7pm and mummy gets to watch Emmerdale with no interruptions (My little bit of me time in the day). I will then give Ailsa her bedtime feed and we try to put her down in the crib upstairs. Some nights she will sleep through till we go to bed at 9pm wake for a feed and go back down somenights she has a cat nap and then will be up till about 10pm. We just follow Ailsa's lead and she sleeps through the night pretty well.

Just FYI Ailsa has many milk feeds throughout the day but they are as and when Ailsa wants them rather than being at set times.

Weekly Activities

Monday and Tuesday- We don't have anything on, on those days generally unless it's coffee with friends most Monday's are PJ days for us.

Wednesday- We go to Tiny Talk baby sign class. It is great fun and Ailsa loves all the songs. Hopefully she will pick up sign language quickly and be able to communicate.

Thurday- We go to Rhyme time at the library and then straight on to the Breastfeeding Support group. We love the support group and even though we don't have any issues just now I have made quite a few friends and love the general support the mummies have with each other.

Friday- I am training to become a breastfeeding peer supporter so Ailsa and I go along to the training on a Friday morning.

Saturday and Sunday- James 2 days off and family time for us.

How does your routine differ? Is there anything I could add to my days?
