August Favourites

How on earth is it September already? This year has just gone so quickly. I have been on Maternity leave for 6 months, Ailsa will be 6 Months old on the 17th and Dr Lynch and I will be celebrating our 2nd Wedding anniversary on the 21st. This next month is going to be an exciting one for us as Ailsa will be weaning, which I am going to document here on the blog. August has been a really good month with plenty of new discoveries and Ailsa learning new skills. Here's what we have been loving.

Ailsa's Picks

1. Johnsons Bedtime Baby Bath- Ailsa has been loving having this in her night time bath. We can just see her relax into the water and she really does sleep well after. We have never had much of a routine but with the introduction of Bedtime Baby Bath at night she falls asleep so quickly after her feed.

2. Mothercare Love Bug Rattle- I bought this for Ailsa at the start of the month and she has been chomping on it all month long. The colours are fun and bright and she finds it easy to grip onto the wing with beads. Its one of the only toys she's been reaching for whilst playing on her playmat and has really helped with her teething (we have a tooth just about to pop through).

3. Moby Wrap-I have taken to wearing Ailsa in a sling quite a bit recently and she has been loving it. she can see everything going on around us and also can snuggle into me when she is tired. I like to use it for a quick trip to Sainsbury's or when I take her to get weighed at the hospital- both within a 5 minute walk.

Mummy's Picks

1. McVitie's Snickers Flapjack- Before being pregnant I could take or leave chocolate and was never one for deserts, But since having Ailsa OHEMGEE I cannot get enough of anything chocolate related and snickers and flapjacks have been the things I have been loving the most and when my husband came home one day with a pack of Snickers Flapjacks my life was made. I could not have been any happier. So much for trying to loose the baby weight....

2. A new skincare routine- My skin has been awful the last few months as I completely neglected it after having Ailsa so this month I have been concentrating on making sure I properly cleanse and moisturise every evening once Ailsa has gone down. My skin is now looking so much better and I have my breakouts under control again.

3. Erin Condren Life Planner- Essentially a week per 2 page diary- I have been loving using this planner to plan out my week. I feel so much more organised and it helps with planning out my blog posts and gives me a place to write down my ideas each day.

So these are the things we have been loving in August. What have you been loving- leave a comment below.
