My Gorgeous baby girl you are now 5 months old and you are just the happiest little person. Recently you have started to smile like you haven't seen me for days when I walk back in the room after going to the loo or getting a drink. You love to cuddle into me and suck your thumb to go to sleep or as I call it we snuggle buggle, that is how you go to sleep every nap time and when we go to bed. I treasure those moment of just staring into you beautiful face whilst you sleep as I know one day you will be to big for me to hold in my arms like that and a day will come when you no longer want to snuggle buggle to sleep.
You are trying your very hardest to sit up unaided although you have fallen head first towards the floor or onto the couch whilst trying Daddy and I have always tried to catch you, so no tears so far. I'm sure you will get there one day very soon. You can roll really well from your front to your back but going back to front is a little bit more tricky.
You don't have any teeth yet but they are certainly on their way. We are 5 months strong into our breastfeeding journey and I love it- I don't love the biting- but I love that I am the one to still provide you with all the nutrition you need until we start weaning onto solids next month.
You have only in the last couple of weeks started wearing 3-6 month clothing- you are such a dinky wee girl but you have gotten quite long so you have really grown out of 0-3 month leggings and jeans but could easily still wear all your tops. Hopefully we can get you in your summer clothes before the bad weather really starts to set in.
It may only be August but I have already started to pick up a couple of bits for your first Christmas- I am so excited for it! I am already planning to get you your first personalised stocking and Santa sack- I just need to buy the presents to go in them. You are just truly the most wonderful baby and so so happy.
